UAE Contributes 700 Crore For Kerala Flood Relief.


Kerala Chief Minister Pinaray Vijayan on Tuesday said that Sheikh mohammed bin zayed al nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces has donated 700 crore to the Kerala flood relief fund.

The chief minister met the media after the cabinet meeting today and said that Lulu group chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. had met the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and he agreed to help the flood hit Kerala. CM also thanked Sheikh mohammed bin zayed al nahyan for his generosity.

Kerala was severely hit by the worst flood in a century causing wide spread loss in properties and life. Various states and countries has come forward to help Kerala.

About one million people have been displaced and almost 400 lost their lives in the flood over past week. Redevelopment is the most critical challenge in front of the people and government of Kerala.

Help has been pouring in from  cross the country and from other nations around the world.
