Women move HC seeking protection from visiting Sabarimala

Kochi: A plea was submitted at the Kerala High Court demanding protection for women who visit Sabarimala temple. AK Maya Krishnan, a native of Poochakkal and 3 other people, filed the plea. The plea might be considered on Wednesday.

The petition points out that they are aged between 25 and 45 and have the right to visit the temple. The women of all ages were not able to enter the temple due to mounting protests against the SC verdict. Though they asked the police for protection, there was no use. So they decided to approach the court.

The BJP and Congress are taking a stand against the Supreme Court verdict. The responses of these leaders are provoking the public against the court order. These leaders have been made parties in the case. Padalam Royals office-bearers and Tantris were also made parties.
