Will suppress attempts to create communal violence: CM

Pinarayi’s words are in reply to BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao, who had warned that the government will have to face constitutional consequences if it fails to stop the violence, it is learned
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government will mercilessly suppress violence and attempts to create communal riots in the state.

The police are taking action without considering the political alliance of the violators. It is the constitutional responsibility of the government to prevent violence and ensure peaceful life, the CM said in his Facebook post.

“The government will not yield to any threat. The Sangh Parivar is trying to deepen its roots in the state by creating riots. It is better if the BJP leadership understands that such measures will not work here,” the CM said.

Pinarayi’s words that Kerala does not have any law and order issues other than those created by BJP and RSS against the Supreme Court order on Sabarimala, are in reply to BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao, it is learned.

Rao on Saturday had warned the CM to stop the violence in Kerala failing which he said the government will have to face constitutional consequences.
